Wahooo!!!!

Well, this week started off ummm, crazy!

I'll make this short as it turned out ok and I have better things to tell you!! Monday night I was very lite headed/dizzy with a headache, nausea, "racing heart", and increased swelling so Adam wanted me to call my OB. When I called she was concerned and had us go to the hospital. Well, we had a trial run, sort of, of getting to the hospital. Do we have the baby's bag, our bag, camera, is it charged, do we have the video camera, did we bring snacks-Ok let's go! So we spent 6 hours in labor and delivery...checked the baby, checked me...concern for toxemia or pre-eclampsia...so strapped in to the fetal monitors and IV's and blood pressure cuffs we waited on test results....little cause for concern but not enough to keep us so they sent us home at 2am!

On to the good part...Today I had a routine doctors' appointment and they checked all those same things again and every thing checked out perfectly! So, no need to worry any longer! The doctor also checked my cervix and well we're dilated to 1 1/2 cm and 50% effaced. So here we go!! :) I know, I know it could still be weeks but hey that’s exciting right? In fact the doctor looked and sounded surprised when she checked too. She said if I were to go into labor now they wouldn't stop it!! Besides, I have already 'dropped' (as Katie and I discovered this weekend :)) and the baby is head down...so all systems are a GO! So who knows when we'll be able to meet this Sweet Pea!

Sweet Pea!!

Wonderful Shower and a Hurt knee...

What can I say but THANK YOU to my mom, sister, and cousin. They threw a wonderful shower for us this past weekend. It was all decked out in "Sweet Pea" attire! Too cute!! Yummy food and great games!! It was a blast!! I am very grateful for all our friends and family who attended this shower as well. Thank you girls for all you've done!!!!

Now to the 'hurt knee' part of this post...Well, I was taking our dear furry friend Codee outside to potty and when he is done he comes running full force back towards the house down the hill in the back yard...well this time he ran smack dab right into my right knee-knocked me straight to the ground. I yelled for Adam to come outside (thankfully he was home!) and he brought me in. Good thing he is an EMT now :) RICE-all together now-Rest Ice Compression Elevation...that was my night...now this afternoon we went to an orthopedic doctor for her to examine my knee...verdict-possible ACL tear or lateral tibia something something (bad bone bruise) or ligament damage...cant tell though cause she cant do x-rays or MRI's in my condition and all :) So physical therapy and ice and Tylenol (nope, no anti inflammatory meds, 'cause my condition) It should heal in about EIGHT WEEKS...uh, I don’t have eight weeks I'm gonna be a mom in 5ish weeks!! Please just pray for the lesser of the damage and a quick recovery. I'll be sure to keep you posted!!
